April in Tahoe

       This Easter, the bunny brought lots of snow to us in Tahoe. We woke up yesterday to a couple of feet of fresh snow on the ground. 

Here's Blue, out on our morning walk in the neighborhood. 

It makes for a fun morning digging out the car.

       We're hoping the snow melts as fast as it came. 

Project Nursery: The Frame Game

       Timing can be everything. Just as we were working on projects around the house, my parents were working on downsizing their things. Recently, this came in the form of lots of picture frames that they were looking to donate to goodwill. Luckily, I got my hands on them before they made it to the donation bin. Out of 3 grocery bags of frames, I picked thru them to see what I could use.

Here's a collection of the ones I chose to work with.

A few of them came complete with some artwork. 

I knew I wanted to take advantage of these free frames and put them to use in the nursery. I picked up some yellow Ralph Lauren paint at the hardware store and got to work.

Next up, finding the last few prints I need to fill them. 

       

Easter Sunday

     Usually for Easter we try to make it down to the Bay Area to see my family. This year, with Jon's crazy school schedule we opted out of all of the driving to and from the Bay Area and decided to stay home instead. With few days off together because of work and school, it was the perfect opportunity to spend a Sunday together.
      After coffee and bagels at home we headed to Church. After Church, we went to Brunch with friends. 

Please don't mind my pregnancy double chin.

       Then, it was home for napping, a fire in the fireplace, and lost of house projects. Jon decided to make one of his dinner specialties: Spicy Beef.

Oh, how we love us a crock pot supper. 

       It turned out to be a perfect little holiday at home. More to come on all the projects we completed today!

Blue's View: Getting ready for baby

       We've been wondering how Blue is going to handle baby. He was very suspicious when we moved the couch and started spending so much time working on the nursery. We've been trying to make him feel as involved as possible.

       Don't mind the incomplete frames in the background and minimal bedding, they're in the works. 

24 Weeks

        Just had our 6 month appointment. 4 more months to go. Wait...math seems a little bit off right? Well apparently women are pregnant for a full 10 months (if all goes according to plan), not 9 months. Looks like there are a few text books that need to be re-written.
